A Salvation Bracelet Won Her Over

Written by Tyler Tom | 23 Jun 2023
Have you ever heard a testimony and walked away in awe of who God is? Listen as Montie shares her personal experience of how the Lord shifted her perspective on sharing the gospel to some little children living in Indonesia:

As I listened to a teammate telling the Easter story in a kindergarten class that day, I started having a negative attitude. I thought why are we doing this? This isn’t their first language and they probably won’t understand the meaning. Then I remembered how my daughter accepted Jesus as her Savior.
It happened in her kindergarten class, just like the one we were in that day. So I started praying that we would share the message in a way they could understand. We also made salvation bracelets for each child with the steps of salvation presented by a different color for each step.

A week later when we were back in the kindergarten class, a teammate asked the students if they remembered what each color represented, and the message it told. They remembered and understood even though a week had passed.

I had a chance to share with the kindergarten teachers about my daughter's salvation in kindergarten. I encouraged them to not get weary of doing good. I wanted them to remember that planting seeds for the kingdom of heaven and leading children to Jesus was very important work.

They appreciated my encouragement and told me it was definitely needed. One of the most important things that happened on my outreach was in that children's English class. We shared the salvation message, and a second grade girl gave her life to Jesus. — Montie

Life is full of lessons. As Christians, we get to walk step by step with the best teacher. In Indonesia, Montie learned God's heart is the same for each person. He wants to bring them closer to Himself. There are various languages in the world but when we walk in obedience to His plans, God breaks down the barriers that hinder His people.
