If You Have the Will, God Has the Way

Written by Chad Freeman | 7 Nov 2018

God has placed an urgency in my spirit to create opportunities for entire families to be trained, equipped, and filled with a passion to live a lifestyle of missions wherever God takes them. With the grace of God, my wife and I have been able to do just that here at YWAM Tyler.

I've often wondered why there is such an urgency in God's heart to do something like this. Having a family myself and seeing what God continues to do in us, I can sense His desperation. God is yearning to wake up families to stop settling for the things of the world and to seize their God-given assignment.

When God designed the family, His plan was to use two Spirit-filled believers to create offspring. The children would consistently witness parents loving and pursuing God. Home would be a place where mom and dad taught them who God is and trained them in righteousness (Deuteronomy 6:7-9).

Because of this, everyone would understand their God-given role as a family: To overcome the darkness with the Light that burned brightly in them. As a result, God would multiply His Kingdom so that together with Him, they would rule the earth (Genesis 1:27-28).

God's plan for the family is to faithfully love and follow Him with all of their heart, mind, and strength (Deuteronomy 6: 5-6) and to teach others to do the same.

God, seeing the state of our world, our communities, our children, and  our marriages is responding with an urgent plea to families to return to their biblical identity. Once families do this, we will see a huge shift in our homes, schools, churches, cities, and eventually the world.

It all starts with us responding to the promptings & callings of God - not ignoring them.

This is why I believe God is on a mission to interrupt families where they are in life. He understands the power of Kingdom-minded families. He understands that strong families build strong nations (His original plan). He is simply looking for willing families to follow Him into this mission.

If we love God, we understand that life is not about us; it's about God. It's about making His name great in the nations. It's about passing our faith on to our children. It's about responding to the call of God on our lives because we know that when God calls us, He will give us what we need to accomplish it.

This is why I am convinced that if you have the will, then God has the way (Proverbs 3:5-6). We simply need to have the faith to respond and the obedience to follow.

Is God calling your family to take a step of faith? Do you trust Him? Try removing all of your doubts, all of your fears, all of your worries and excuses; replace them with faith, trust, obedience, and dependence on God so that He can do things in your family you never could have done without Him. JUST - SAY - YES!
