With little to no money towards her outreach, Emma Hamlin experiences a financial miracle. There is freedom that comes with trusting the Lord, but nobody said it was going to be easy!
Even when His ways don’t seem logical to us, remember He is faithful! Read and see how Emma was able to believe what God said above all else.
I still needed $2,280 the day our money was due for outreach. I said, “Okay God, I don’t know how you are going to do this but you continue to tell me that I will be going on outreach." I went to class the next morning where our team listed the names and amounts each student needed on the white board.
The entire class prayed together for those individuals who were fully believing God to supply the necessary funds. We were seeking clarity and His provision for each situation. While praying, I felt the Lord nudging my heart to call someone.
I walked out of class to call them. The line rang for a bit and then went to voicemail. I stood there feeling a little confused, so I asked God why He told me to call this person if He knew they wouldn’t pick up? God said, "I was just checking your obedience to me."
I chuckled, smiled and shook my head as I walked back into the room. Walking back to my seat, I looked up and noticed the amount I needed for outreach was crossed out. My jaw dropped when I saw the total needed for my outreach had gone down by more than $1000 dollars. I couldn't believe it!
The Lord wanted me to obey Him and trust Him even though it didn’t make sense at the time.
At 4pm I needed $1,230 in less than an hour! Again, I said, “God, I don’t know how you are going to do this but I know you are calling me to this outreach. You told me to come to this base. You could have spoken to me any way you wanted. Yet You called me to this School of Evangelism by saying, I want you to do the school that is from April to August. You knew this exact situation was going to happen before I was even in it.''
Over lunch a handful of classmates and I prayed once again, and then I was off to the accounting office where I literally waited on the Lord’s provision.
When I arrived a couple of people asked to talk to me. I thought maybe they are giving me more time to pay for my outreach or they might tell me I can't go. I was quietly waiting when then the unexpected happened. Someone came in and announced, “All the money came in! Everything is covered!” My eyes filled with tears of gratitude.
I walked out of the accounting office with my outreach paid in full seven minutes before the deadline. GOD IS GOOD.
