Forget the world and give me Jesus! Quinn Evans, a Crossroads DTS student on outreach, shared a radical encounter when God pulled her out of a life of sin, and set her heart ablaze to share the Gospel.
Her experience gives hope to the brokenhearted! When you make the conscious decision to fully surrender, you'll discover what it means to truly be free.
"At a young age I just felt like something was missing. There was a hole in my heart and I didn't know what it was, but now I know that it was God."

"Growing up I felt like a loner and didn't have any friends. I felt like nobody wanted me, loved me, or cared about me. In high school I got involved with the wrong crowd which led me to live a life of sin that continued for many years until I hit the age of 18. Through a program where I was introduced to Jesus, I was baptized and I was living a life with God in it. From that point on I got really involved in my church serving in anyway that I could. But because I couldn't surrender everything, I continued to go astray. I struggled to surrender my life of sin, and I fell back into my old ways.
I spiraled into a depression that made me miserable and caused me to feel hopeless. For five years I lived this way, and because of my sinful choices I almost died twice. But God saved me. I realized I had run from the One who loved me the most. This time around, I decided to surrender everything to God! The desires of the world were no longer attractive to me.
When I fully surrendered to God, I saw God move the most in my life. Allowing Him to change the desires of my heart gave me a passion to show people the love of Jesus that saved me. I want people that are brokenhearted and have no hope to feel the hope that I have felt, because if it wasn’t for God I would be dead." - Quinn
There’s something about Quinn’s story which convicts our hearts. Most of us can relate to falling short of God’s best and wrestling with our own flesh. Were it not for Jesus where would any of us be? God’s freedom isn’t just for Quinn. It’s for you too! There is freedom in surrender.
