GOD IS SO GOOD...Isn’t He? 😁 Since graduation, I had been praying about where God wanted me to go for college. After a few mission trips, God spoke to me about an organization called Youth With a Mission (YWAM). I arrived in January to begin a Discipleship Training School (DTS) here at YWAM Tyler, and it has rocked my world!
I was doubtful at first if this was where God wanted me, but He is an almighty faithful God, and I can see that He is creating something beautiful from this. I have been establishing a closer relationship with God and everyone around me. I feel myself growing in Christ mentally and spiritually.
For our DTS outreach, over these last few weeks, we were praying about where God wanted us to touch the lives of others. Last week they announced to us that we are going to be traveling along the Amazon River to Brazil, Columbia, and Peru! I’m so blessed to be able to have this opportunity to grow in my relationship with Christ.
Please join us in prayer as we prepare our minds and hearts for this journey. God has been doing some astounding things through this ministry in every aspect of my life. I’m so grateful to be here and developing a new perspective on the world 🌎❤️ #ywam

It has been a desire of mine to do missions since I was 18, yet when I said this out loud, I was laughed at by a kid in school and told “you could never be a missionary." The years preceding that statement showed how far I had strayed from God. He wasn’t my desire, and people could see it. I wasn’t any different from them; the only difference was that I still claimed to be a Christian. However, my desires remained in the world and what it could give me for the moment.
But God is forgiving and redeems! He knew I had nothing to offer Him, but He had everything to offer me. Slowly He began chipping away. My old desires began to taste bitter, and my only desire became to live a life WORTHY of the calling I was given.
Now, I am at 22 and a missionary. I am in not perfect; I stumble and fall. The only difference is I now serve a perfect God. How ‘bout them 🍎s?
