When DTS Outreach Became My Outrage

By Tyler Tom on 21 Jul 2017

As I sat in the classroom, listening to the speaker talk, I could barely focus on what he was saying because I was pumped about going on outreach. I was ready to do anything, go anywhere to share Jesus with someone who’d never heard about him.

Stop Worrying About Refugees

By Anthony Huerta on 7 Jul 2017

We are blessed here at Youth With A Mission to be exposed to incredible things around the world that few will ever experience. This privilege is what propels many of us out of bed to continue doing what we do as full-time missionaries. However, through this privilege there has been some difficult, inconceivable moments revealing the depths of human depravity. We have taken a glimpse into what Jeremiah 17 is really saying, "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"

We needed $2500 by 5pm!

By Amy Fish on 2 Jun 2017

It was the day before we were to leave on our outreach to LA & Alaska. Our family's airline tickets had already been purchased, but the remaining needed funds, which amounted to $2500, was still unpaid. We were the only team members lacking too. First thing that morning, our school leader met with us to make sure we clearly understood the expectations; we couldn’t go on outreach if we didn’t have all our money in by 5pm. With the clock ticking, we did the only thing we knew to do: pray!

We sent out a text to our faithful prayer partners, and with a surprising peace within, we waited on the Lord.

You Can Become a Part of Someone’s Rescue

By Amy Fish on 17 May 2017

During my time in a small fishing village named Naknek, I met a young lady whom I’ll never forget. We had gone to this particular home to actually connect with a young man I had met on the streets a few days prior, yet God’s plan was to connect my heart with this girl instead and become part of the rescue operation in her life.
