God has shown up in many miraculous ways to guide, provide, and protect throughout the journey. Herb and Sue Haines share their stories of God's faithfulness showing up in surprising ways.

 YWAM Tyler has the privilege of hosting several ministries in the East Texas area. The Journey is located right off Interstate 20 and is a unique ministry seeking to bless people with good drink, delicious food, and most of all loving and gracious service. Everyone is on a journey of some sort, and it is the desire of those who run this coffeehouse that as they step into this business, God's love will be encountered in a special way. Many have entered this business to receive a warm drink, but they've left with warm hearts. 

My family and I were very excited and ready for what God had for us. We looked at the cost of the plane tickets for all four of us to travel. $5,000 USD. Our hearts sank. There was no way we could afford this.

“What do you want to do after you graduate?”

I laughed nervously. I had been asked this several times during my senior year of high school, and I had no clue what I wanted to do. And graduation was just a few months away!

I've always heard sheep are dumb, but I disagree. I think they're really quite smart and have something to teach us all!

As I sat at my desk engrossed in the art of storytelling, I knew I was in desperate need for a brain break. So, I shifted my eyes to the window where beauty captured my attention and held me hostage.

Last summer our family of four embarked on a new chapter in our lives as we arrived with great anticipation at YWAM Tyler, ready to begin family missions training. We came with no expectations - just a willingness to learn and grow in our faith. Now, I can look back and say we made the best decision for our family by taking that leap of faith. During our five months of training we grew closer to God and to one another, as our marriage and family relationships were strengthened. We now have God in the center of our family’s life, where He belongs!

Most everyone wants to travel the world, right? There's something adventurous buried deep within our DNA. We want to explore and experience, touch and taste, and overwhelm our senses with the diversity of life on this amazing planet God has made. So we scrimp and save until we have enough for airfare then stuff a backpack and head off into the unknown.

Ever feel like nothing good is happening in our world? Our media airwaves are never short of negativity, hate, and divisiveness. It's so refreshing in the midst of depressing news to hear inspirational stories! Inspite of what people say or of what we see on our screens, God is winning in the nations! He's on the move and lives are being transformed!! Last year, YWAM Tyler had the privilege of partnering with God around the globe and witnessing the Divine at work in people's lives.
